Process

Pretreatment: Before zinc immersion, medical devices need to be pretreated, including cleaning, degreasing, rust removal and other steps to remove oil, impurities and rust on the surface of the equipment, and ensure that the surface is clean so that the zinc conversion film can adhere well.

Soaking treatment: put the pretreated medical equipment into zinc-based soaking solution, and control the soaking time, temperature, solution concentration and other parameters according to the material, shape, size and specific use requirements of the equipment. Generally speaking, the soaking time may range from a few minutes to tens of minutes, and the temperature is usually within a certain range, such as room temperature to tens of degrees Celsius. During the soaking process, the zinc ions in the solution will react chemically with the metal on the surface of the equipment, gradually forming a zinc conversion film.

Post-treatment: After soaking, remove the equipment from the solution and rinse it with clean water to remove the soaking liquid and impurities remaining on the surface. Then dry it, usually by low-temperature drying or natural drying, to avoid high temperature from adversely affecting the performance of the equipment and the quality of the conversion film. In some cases, the treated equipment may also be sealed, such as applying a thin layer of protective oil or varnish, to further improve the corrosion resistance and protective performance of the conversion film.
