The zinc spray used for outdoor furniture usually refers to cold spray zinc spray. The following is its related introduction:
Ingredients and principles
Main ingredients: Zinc powder with a purity higher than 99.9%, volatile solvents and organic resins. The zinc content in the dry film is extremely high, reaching more than 96%.
Protection principle: It has the dual functions of cathodic protection and barrier protection. Cathodic protection refers to the fact that cold-sprayed zinc can provide good cathodic protection for steel, and can protect the steel surface for a long time even in harsh environments. Its anti-corrosion performance is comparable to or even better than hot-dip galvanizing. Barrier protection refers to the fact that when the coating is oxidized, a zinc salt layer will be produced on the surface, and the adhesive also provides additional barrier protection to slow down the oxidation of zinc.
Features
Easy to operate: It is a single-component zinc-rich paint, and there is no cumbersome mixing process before use and no restrictions on the paint use time. You only need to stir evenly and ensure the coating thickness, and no special technology is required.
Good compatibility: When used as a primer in an anti-corrosion coating system, it has good compatibility with a variety of coatings (except alkyd oil-based coatings).
Conductive: It can conduct static electricity, but it does not have the same conductivity as conductive paint.
Scope of application
It can be widely used in the rust prevention of iron structures of outdoor furniture, such as metal parts of tables, chairs, flower stands, etc., as well as the repair and maintenance of galvanized components, including the repair of cut surfaces, welding points, and places where the zinc coating has fallen off of galvanized steel.
